How did you meet Catherine Deneuve?

Bailey: I met Deneuve through Roman Polanski. Roman and I were friends – I think I introduced him to Sharon(Tate) – and he kept saying, “You’re gonna love this French girl I’m making a film (Repulsion) with.” I said, “No, she’s short, and I don’t like short women.” But Roman kept saying, “You’re gonna fall in love with her…I know she’s for you.”

What was she like?

Bailey: Deneuve ? Her screen image is cold, but she’s not like that. She’s got good sense of humor… likes a good dirty jok. I love her. We’re still friends

How long between the time you first met her and the wedding?

Bailey: two months.

Didn’t they call it the wedding of the decade?

Bailey: It was funny. Mick was the best man. It caused a scandal in England because I wore jeans, and Catherine wore a black dress and smoked all through the ceremony. Tha man kept saying, “Do you mind?” And then they did all that nonsense about, “Do you take this man to be your…” and Catherine turned to me and said, “What’s he talking about?”

Have you ever seen The Teenagers' Homecoming vdo ? (if the answer is no, click play the vdo in this post!) I always wonder who is the stylist behind this MV who did a terribly good job for making every girl so cute. I have found her! She is Kinga Burza, a stylist who behinds lots of cute dreamy vdo. Founding someone is not enough these days, you have to inspired from them too. So here is her blog which I took all the nice pictures!

And watch out for her new short movie, Candy. It should be available soon!

Beirut's top 5 most listened to album of 2011

Paul Collins from my favorite band of all time, Beirut, just give an interview about his and his band top five most listened to album of 2011. It's a nice set of music to listened while on the road in the sun ♥ But first thing first, here's "Santa Fe" from their latest album:

Beirut's Paul Collin Top 5
1.Julian Lynch - "Terra" (2011)
"Not to sound like a broken record, but I can't stop listening to it, I can't stop listening to it, I can't stop listening to it."

2.Bill Callahan - "Apocalypse" (2011)
"Callahan is an all-time favorite for Beirut. I listened to this album twice, and put it away in disappointment. I picked it up again three months later and was floored. I don't understand why that always seems to happen with my favorite records, but it does."

3.Michael Hurley - "First Songs" (1964)
"'Tea Song' is my song of the year. His Fatboy Spring album might have made this list, too, if I hadn't only purchased the record a week ago."

4.Laetita Sadier - "The Trip" (2010)
"I listened to this record while driving through Vermont in the fall. The leaves were all changing. Orange, Red, and Yellow. I love Laetitia, and her imagination and creative capacities seem endless. Wonderful music."

5.Six Organs of Admittance - "Asleep on The Floodplain" (2011)
"Ben Chasny is my favorite living guitar player. This record is dark, beautiful, and inspiring. It's my favorite record of his since School of the Flower. This record feels like a prayer."

Thank you : Dallas Observer for a very nice article!
My favorite is Laetitia Sadier! Her song make you float :)) What's yours ?

This 1850's American farmhouse make me dizzy with its perfect decoration. This is the kind of house I would like to have one day. The house is located in Rhinebeck, NY. ,owned by an artist named Lisa Camp. From a Rue magazine article, this house is a ruin when the Camp discovered it. From then their goal is to "honor the past and live in the present". That's why we have the perfect mixture of vintage and convenient modernity.

The dining table is my favorite. Hope one day I could find (or make) a furniture like that ♥
If you like the styling of these photo, you could also check the stylist blog which have many interesting posts too, here.
And the photographer here :))

If you want to find a remake vintage furniture with cheap price, try checking Index Living Mall's Chic Republic near CDC & SB Vintage Shop (at CTW). Another place that I love for real vintage furniture is Rodfai market (Train market near JJ market).
