Paul Collins from my favorite band of all time, Beirut, just give an interview about his and his band top five most listened to album of 2011. It's a nice set of music to listened while on the road in the sun ♥ But first thing first, here's "Santa Fe" from their latest album:

1.Julian Lynch - "Terra" (2011)

"Not to sound like a broken record, but I can't stop listening to it, I can't stop listening to it, I can't stop listening to it."

2.Bill Callahan - "Apocalypse" (2011)

"Callahan is an all-time favorite for Beirut. I listened to this album twice, and put it away in disappointment. I picked it up again three months later and was floored. I don't understand why that always seems to happen with my favorite records, but it does."

3.Michael Hurley - "First Songs" (1964)

"'Tea Song' is my song of the year. His Fatboy Spring album might have made this list, too, if I hadn't only purchased the record a week ago."

4.Laetita Sadier - "The Trip" (2010)

"I listened to this record while driving through Vermont in the fall. The leaves were all changing. Orange, Red, and Yellow. I love Laetitia, and her imagination and creative capacities seem endless. Wonderful music."

Spike Jonze : There Are Too Many of Us-I'm Here

Spike Jonze, our favorite director directed a short film about a "boy meet girl" love story. The film also feature 3 interesting artist: Sonny (for the robot design), Meryl (sculpture feature in one of the best scene) and Aska (for the song that capture the whole film).

Spike Jonze Interview:

What inspired you to portray robots in your short film "I'm Here"?
I wanted to make a relationship movie about a young couple in Los Angeles falling in love. And the kind of love they had seemed to me to be best shown with robots.

What kind of reaction did you get from the audience?
Many varying reactions. I met a robot in London who really did not like it. He became violent and hurt me. He fractured my skull and then broke down and cried. Not real tears, but robot tears. I think the film struck a nerve with him. Maybe a real raw place that he doesn't like to go to about his past relationships. I’m not sure.

Where The Wild Things Are

Creating a film adaptation of a beloved work of literature is difficult enough with a novel, even a novella or short story. But how about a 10-line children's book? Spike Jonze took on that challenge in his long battle to bring Maurice Sendak's classicWhere the Wild Things Are to the screen.

Love to see this film hope it will show in Thailand soon!! I've seen the trailer (click here to watch the trailer) and it's amazing! also love the music they are using! Have you guys watch it?? Let me knowww:D
